Important Upcoming Dates

  • Switching to Distance Learning
    • The first week of distance learning for all in November 30 through December 4.
    • Check with your child’s teacher about the morning meeting and small group times.

  • If your child left anything here at STEM, your child can come to STEM, grab said items from their locker/classroom, and go. Parents/guardians can wait in their vehicle. You can also check with your child’s teacher, since a bag may be waiting for you at the Main Office.

Attendance Reminder

Please remember to have your child sign in for their morning meeting and/or do work in their Seesaw, Dreambox, Epic and/or RAZ Kids applications to be marked present. If no work is recorded for that day, your child will be marked absent. If your child is going to be absent from class, please call 612-798-6600, and press 1 and then 1 again to leave a message on the attendance line (leave your child’s full name, grade and reason for being absent). Students are expected to be in attendance every day, except for holiday breaks or teacher development days.

School Photos

Picture retakes for Tuesday, Dec. 1, are canceled. We will let families know if/when a make-up day is available. We appreciate your understanding.

Book Check-Out

There will be no library check-out this week or next week. We are in the midst of figuring out how the book check-out will while we are in distance learning. Please, bear with us while we come up with a safe alternative.

Highlight!

We would like to highlight the great work that an amazing team of STEM Sparks in Mrs. Holetz’s 5th-grade class has been doing. These three students have taken it upon themselves to keep STEM clean for all students. It began as playground clean-up and it evolved into a weekly activity. And while we have switched to full distance learning, we are sure that they will pick up right where they left off as soon as we’re back on site. Thanks Sparks!!
