Important Dates

  • April 5 - Hybrid & distance learners return to classes on Monday, April 5
  • April 5-9 - Spirit Week and Spark Blitz Week.
    • As we gear up for MCA testing, we want our Sparks to use the first week back after Spring Break to practice good learning habits along with celebrating our community with themed days.
      • Monday:  Wear PJs to remind us to Get a Good Night Sleep
      • Tuesday:  Wear bright colors - You are Bright Star
      • Wednesday:  Hat day- thinking caps
      • Thursday: Wear words to remind you to go back and re-read the questions
      • Friday:  Show School pride and Show What You Know
    • Along with Spirit Week, our students will participate in Spark Blitz, where they will receive STEM Sparks for demonstrating their great behavior. (see image)
    • Students can receive a STEM SPARK from any staff member. We will reward when students show they are being : RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL and SAFE! 
    • Winners will be drawn from each grade level (DISTANCE LEARNERS are also participating!!) 

MCA Testing

All of our 3rd, 4rth and 5th-grade students will take the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) in Reading and Math. 5th-graders will also take the Science MCA.  

  • In-person students: These tests will be administered to ALL 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students on different days and times April 13 through April 29. 
  • Distance learning students: We are asking parents to fill out this survey online to help us communicate with you about dates and times between April 27 and May 6th for you to bring your child to STEM to take the MCA Tests.

Parent Pick-Up Reminder

We want to thank all families that have made Parent Pick Up quick and effective. And just remember that if you do not have a PINK CARD, you can pick one up at the Main Office to speed up the process.
