Special Delivery From the State Fair
This week brought an unexpected bit of joy to our district. A small package arrived from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), filled with handwritten postcards from students. These notes were collected at the Minnesota State Fair through the “Thank an Educator” project, where visitors shared messages of appreciation for school staff.
MDE shared that this year’s fair brought in more thank-you notes than ever before, which they called a testament to the caring, qualified educators and staff across Minnesota.
Inside the package were messages written to staff right here in Richfield. Some were sweet, some were funny and all were heartfelt.

Students from schools across the district came together for more than a year to create and sew their own regalia, which they will wear at this year's powwow.
