Celebrating RPS Retiree Gayle Myles

For nearly four decades, the classrooms of Richfield Intermediate School and R-STEM have been filled with the joy of music, thanks to the wonderful Gayle Myles. Gayle is retiring after an extraordinary 39 years of service as an elementary music teacher, leaving a lasting harmony in the hearts of generations of Richfield students. Raised on a dairy farm in Welch, Minnesota, Gayle’s journey took her through Red Wing High School, Augsburg College, and the University of St. Thomas for graduate school. Even when she isn't teaching, music and growth remain central to her life; in her spare time, she loves to "garden, and attend musical productions with friends and family." Looking ahead to her next chapter, Gayle plans to keep sharing her gifts and giving back, noting that in retirement, she would love to "be involved with some volunteer groups, travel and continue to sing with community members."

Thank you, Gayle, for 39 incredible years of planting the seeds of music and creativity in our schools. We wish you a beautiful retirement filled with spectacular travels, thriving gardens, and endless song!
